Chaos and violence dominate war-torn Somalia.

At least 19 civilians have been killed by armed bandits in southern Somalia, as chaos and violence dominate the east African country.

In Kismayu, south Somalia armed bandits attacked a tea shop with AK 47 rifles, killing four civilians and seriously injuring more than 11, Press TV correspondent in Somalia reported on Wednesday.

The gunmen escaped the scene soon, with the police tracking their whereabouts.

Daily violence in south Somalia has dreadfully increased in the past weeks, with clan tensions rising in areas where hundreds of clansmen are armed to the teeth.

Elsewhere in south Somalia, more than 15 civilians were killed by armed bandits, who target civilians intentionally to spread terror in the region.

Somalia has been without a central government for 17 years. Years of fierce clashes and an inability to deal with famine and disease have led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands people in the Horn of African nation.
