At least 10 Ethiopian soldiers have been killed by Somali insurgents at a military base located at the national stadium in Mogadishu.
Ethiopian soldiers were returning to the base when they were attacked by grenades and mortar shells.
Meanwhile, Somali fighters attacked three Somali government facilities killing at least 11 high-ranking officers.
In further violence, armed men killed a Somali government soldier inside the market of Afgoye, about 30 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu. Four were injured in the incident.
Unknown gunmen have also killed at least six people in the last 12 hours, some of whom were UN aid workers moving between Afgoye and Mogadishu. Speaking to Press TV, Ahmed Dirie Ali, spokesman of the Hawiye Traditional Council condemned these attacks on the « eyes of society. »
