Somalie: M. Sharmarke en passe d’être nommé Premier ministre

Le nouveau président somalien, cheikh Sharif Cheikh Ahmed, a choisi Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke comme futur Premier ministre et devrait annoncer officiellement sa nomination plus tard vendredi, a indiqué un responsable à la présidence somalienne.

"Le président Sharif Cheikh Ahmed doit annoncer plus tard aujourd’hui (vendredi) la nomination d’Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke", a déclaré à l’AFP sous couvert d’anonymat ce responsable.Il remplacera Nur Hassan Hussein, qui conduisait le gouvernement fédéral de transition depuis novembre 2007 et a été un candidat malheureux à la présidentielle du 31 janvier.

M. Sharmarke aura un mois à compter de sa nomination officielle pour former un gouvernement, qui devra ensuite être approuvé par le parlement.Né en 1964, il a travaillé avec les Nations unies et a la double nationalité somalo-canadienne. Son père, Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, a été le dernier président démocratiquement élu de Somalie et a été assassiné en octobre 1969.

Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke appartient au sous-clan Majarteen, du clan Darod, tandis que le nouveau président somalien, élu le 31 janvier par le parlement somalien réuni à Djibouti, est issu du clan Hawiye.Selon la Charte fédérale de transition somalienne, le président, le Premier ministre et le président du Parlement doivent appartenir à trois clans dominants différents.

Chef de l’Alliance pour une nouvelle libération de la Somalie (ARS) et ancien leader des "tribunaux" islamiques qui avaient contrôlé l’essentiel de la Somalie en 2006, le président cheikh Sharif avait annoncé son ambition de former un gouvernement de large coalition.La Somalie vit en situation de guerre civile pratiquement en permanence depuis 1991.

Des membres des milices Ahlu Sunna Waljaema déclarent qu’elles soutiennent l’élection du nouveau Président somalien. // Somali Islamist group supports Somali president Sharif

Members of the Somali Islamist group of Ahlu Sunna Waljamea have held a meeting in the Kenyan capital Nairobi late on Thursday and supported the newly elected president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, official told Shabelle radio on Friday.

Sheik Mohamed Moalin Sheik Amiir, a chairman of Ahlu Sunna Waljamea in Nairobi has asserted that his group has supported greatly to the Somali president Sheik Sharif and his government urging the Somalis to give him full support to solve the conflicts between the Somali people saying that it is an important chance for many Somali people who are in abroad and live in a very critical condition to return home.

“If we are Ahlu Sunna Waljamea, we are congratulating to president Sheik Sharif and we are welcoming him to be the head of the unity government of Somalia. We also bless him to be the Somali president and solve the problems between the Somali people to reach peace and stability,” Sheik Mohamed said.

The statement of Ahlu Sunna Waljamea chairman Sheik Mohamed comes as most of the Somali society and the international community supported the newly established government led by president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed.

The Somali Islamist insurgents in Bardhere town in Geda region have executed another Islamist soldier in the region, officials told Shabelle on Thursday.

Reports from Bardhere town say that the Islamic court in Bardhere town has sentenced the man to be executed after he shot and killed another man who was 30 and called Aden Xage in the town before two days by a time the Islamist fighters were conducting operations banning the use of kat (green grass) in the town.

The executed man was 28 and called Abdishukur Ahmed and he his execution has been committed after the parent of the other deceased man suggested that they could only be satisfied if the murderer executed in front of them as the Sharia law states.

The execution sentence happened in the airport of Bardhere town and both the relatives the two sides and other Islamist officials in the town were present there where the execution sentence took place

It is the first time that the Islamist administration in Bardhere town carries out such sentence in the town in Gedo region and the step has been welcomed greatly by many people in the town.
