4 morts et des blessés en Somalie

Au moins quatre personnes dont trois civils ont été tuées et des dizaines blessées jeudi dans des affrontements à Mogadiscio entre forces islamistes soutenant le gouvernement somalien et la milice islamiste radicale des shebab, a-t-on appris de sources officielles.

"Un de nos combattants a été tué et un autre blessé mais le commandant qui était visé par les forces gouvernementales s’est enfui", a indiqué un responsable des shebab sous couvert de l’anonymat.

Des témoins ont par ailleurs fait état de trois civils tués. Dahir Dhere, le directeur adjoint de l’hôpital Medina de la capitale, a précisé que 55 civils blessés dans les combats avaient été admis dans l’établissement.

Les shebab s’en prennent régulièrement à des responsables du gouvernement de Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, un islamiste élu président en janvier mais qui ne contrôle pas la totalité de la capitale et qui a perdu d’importantes parties du sud et du centre du territoire au profit des extrémistes.

Eritrea’s President Issayas Afeworki said Wednesday that it was not his policy to intervene Somali internal affairs and added that the current Somali government is not deferent from the previous governments.

Speaking to the reporters in Asmara, Issayas Afeworki said it was not his policy and civilization to meddle in Somalia’s affairs.

The Somali government accused Eritrea of sending arms shipments to Somali rebels and called for the International community to stop “the meddling of Eritrea.”

“This government is not different from the Transitional National Government led by Abdikasim Salad Hassan and the federal government led by Abdulahi Yusuf Ahmed, they all collapsed because of Ethiopia’s intervention,” Afeworki said.

He said that his government did not recognize the Somali government and added that the current government is the same as the administrations of Somaliland and Puntland.

Hizbul Islam Islamist group, the wing that Sheik Mohamed Hassan Amey leads met with Somali president and his prime minister in the presidential palace, officials said on Thursday.

The spokesperson of the Islamist group Sheik Daud Mohamed Abtidon told Shabelle Media that they had a meeting with President Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, his Prime Minister Omar Abdirshid Ali Sharmarke, and some government ministers in the presidential palace and said they agreed many issues including the implementation of the Islamic Sharia.

He said the security of the capital is crucial and it needs all sides to work it together. He added that there is no reason to oppose the government since it took the Islamic Sharia.

The chairman Sheik Mohamed Hassan Amey and the defense secretary of the group Sheik Yusuf Mohamed Siyad Indho Ade met president Sharif Sheik Ahmed in the presidential palace.

It is yet unclear whether the group will join the government or not, but they had declared that they will work and defend the government if it implements the Islamic Sharia.
