The Arab League Secretariat has begun immediate negotiations with member states regarding the urgent meeting, said Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Ahmed Bin Helli in a press briefing.
Eritrean forces invaded Ras Demeera, an area situated on the borders of land belonging to Djibouti, on the 16th of April.
Eritrea has denied the accusations.
Djibouti and Eritrea have clashed twice over the border area situated at the southern end of the Red Sea in 1999 and 1996.
Bin Helli added that this meeting is the first for the Arab League Security Council after all Arab members signed on a joint treaty for it to handle Arab affairs.
