The head of the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia, Sheik Sheriff Sheik Ahmed, has called for the Somali people to stop violence and support peace on Saturday.
During a press conference held in Djibouti Sheik Sharif described Somali presidents criticism of Djibouti peace agreement as unfortunate. Saying his Alliance is committed to implementing the agreement signed with the government.
Somali president, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, rejected the power sharing deal that was signed in Djibouti saying the peace agreement was not encompassing Somali clans.
“I call for Somali people to stop violence and support the Djibouti peace agreement,”Sheik Sharif Said. I warn those who kill people and loot their property. He added.
He also denounced the piracy off the coast of Somalia where nearly 100 ships have been attacked so far this year.
He called for the international community to fight illegal fishing vessels and those dumping waste in the Somali coast.
