Reports from Afgio town says that the Ethiopian troops have left from the farm of Abdirahman Jama Barre and a checkpoint near the bridge of Afgoi town which were bases of the Ethiopian troops in Lower Shabelle region, in southern Somalia.

Ethiopia invaded Somalia 2006 to help the interim government oust Islamists from the capital, since then it has been supporting Somalia’s weak transitional government for two years

Islamist insurgent forces led by high ranking insurgent leader Sheik Yusuf Mohamed Siad (Indha adde) have reached the town after the Ethiopian troops’ withdrawal and took control of the town and said that they reached over there to keep the security of the town though the Ethiopian troops left from there.

Hundreds of people have gathered in the places where the Ethiopian troops moved and expressed happiness for the withdrawal of the Ethiopian troops in Afgoi town.

The Ethiopian troops’ pull out from Afgoi town comes as the Ethiopian troops have left completely from whole of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
