Somalia’s president is reportedly taken to hospital in Kenya with serious health problems after heated exchanges with the country’s premier.

The Press TV correspondent in Somalia quoted sources close to President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed as saying he fell seriously ill having had clashed with Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein over matters of the state.

Following a regional meeting in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, the two reportedly collided head-on over the premier’s refusal to reinstate a number of ministers who had resigned from the government.

Hassan Hussein has insisted he would not return the ministers.

The meeting was attended by the member states of the Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) who have also reportedly ruled against reappointment of the ministers.

Abdullahi Yusuf is to be flown to London within the next few hours, reports say. He is said to have survived acute health issues four times so far.
